Developer Shout Out: Nextwave Multimedia
Advertising and live sports events go hand-in-hand with pitch-side billboards surrounding real-world stadiums. This makes in-game advertising a natural fit for any sports mobile games and this month has been all about the Cricket World Cup 2023 reaching its climax this weekend in India.
Award winning studio Nextwave Multimedia, part of India’s gaming giant Nazara implemented InGamePlay brand ads into two 3D mobile World Cup cricket titles as part of their hybrid monetization strategy.
InGamePlay brand ads appear in the World Cricket Championship 2 and 3 in a variety of locations such as the player walk out, replay screens, hoardings surrounding the pitch and even a sponsored scoreboard. Nextwave Multimedia has done an excellent job to create a real life televised cricket event and advertisers’ campaigns get a lot of on screen coverage. This is a superb example of a great implementation which helps to boost incremental revenue whilst staying authentic to the lifelike gameplay.
