AdInMo Welcomes Video Ads in SDK V2.2
V2.2 of AdInMo’s InGamePlay SDK introduces a new ad format: video. These are, pardon the pun, a game-changer. Here, we’ll discuss why.
Video has huge potential to enhance the game experiences you create. In the right setting, on a TV screen or big-city billboard, these ads will look fantastic, making their surroundings feel more authentic and giving your players a more dynamic and interesting ad experience at the same time.
You’ll want to choose these placements carefully; video is a powerful force that can reshape an experience around it, so choosing the right moments to deploy it is key. It also has a higher time-on-screen requirement than static ads in terms of generating impressions, so this is vital to bear in mind too. Think about where it would make sense to appear, using authentic framing devices to blend it in, and where it would perform best in terms of screen time, on static screens or slow areas of gameplay.
The tools available on AdInMo’s developer portal give you the option to set any, all or none of your placements open to the video format, giving you full control of the player experience. As with display brand ads, video ads are delivered programmatically. when available. There are 5 supported video aspect ratios we can deliver:
- 4:3
- 2:3
- 16:9
- 9:16
- 6:5
And those videos will be one of the following three lengths:
- 6 Seconds
- 15 Seconds
- 30 Seconds
When implementing video ad placements don’t forget that, just as with display or rich media ads, you can use our Placement Fit tools to broaden your options. For example, choosing looser Placement Fit options will allow your placements to accept a wider range of video ads.
Video ads typically yield higher CPMs than display banners, which means one or two video-enabled placements will give your incremental monetization a boost. Once you’ve mastered this new ad format, your in-game integrations will be more varied, more dynamic, and more lucrative. So what are you waiting for? Press Play, and try out Video Ads in your mobile game today!
